Rob Katz is an award-winning attorney with a national reputation for producing excellent results in the most difficult injury and death cases. He represents clients in car, truck, and motorcycle accident cases as well as claims involving dangerous property and products, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and wrongful death.
Prior to founding Katz Personal Injury Lawyers, Rob gained valuable experience litigating cases on behalf of insurance companies and large corporations. Today, he uses that knowledge, along with his 25 years of experience representing individuals and families, to obtain justice for clients after a tragic event.
Rob’s leadership and commitment to the practice of law is well established. He previously served as President of the DeKalb Bar, one of the state’s largest attorney associations, and has been named to Thomson Reuters’ Top 100 Super Lawyers list for Georgia since 2014. He is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, holds a 10/10 rating from Avvo, and has been featured in Newsweek Magazine’s Leaders in Personal Injury edition. Rob has also appeared on the list of Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine for eight consecutive years, an honor based solely on the voting of other attorneys in the state.

Rob earned his Juris Doctorate and Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, after which he completed judicial clerkships for Judge Dorothy T. Beasley in the Georgia Court of Appeals and Judge James H. Weeks in the Superior Court of DeKalb County. He is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, DeKalb Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
When not practicing law, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, doing volunteer work, and traveling.
